Back into the lab to release plague and pestilence – Trouble with the Necroa Virus

image So it’s time to jump back to one of my other passions, which is spreading plague and pestilence throughout the world and ridding the earth of all mankind. Ok, that’s just a joke, don’t put me on some list you wacky government types.

After a break that’s been far too long, I’m back in Plague Inc and facing the challenges of the Necroa Virus. I won’t say I have a talent for killing off humanity, but I’ve done quite well on all the previous levels and except for a couple of times when Greenland has been resistant to my efforts, the planet has fallen quite handily to my hand crafted diseases.

By and large, I’ve had good success with launching my dastardly plans from India because of it having both a seaport and airport, setting my contagion to float on the air and survive in the water, building up both heat and cold resistance and then working on drug immunities.

But that strategy doesn’t seem to be working too well for the Necroa Virus. I start off pretty well, make fine progress across India, sweep across to South America and Africa, but then it all seems to stall. Those damnable scientists and their need to thwart my plans! They race to the cure too quickly and everything comes undone.

A couple of times I’ve managed to make zombies and even defeat the Z-Com forces, but I can’t seem to penetrate up into Russia and over to Greenland like I want. And I always get stopped in Norway. What is it with those people that makes them so resistant to my efforts? What are you Norwegians doing up there? Come on, don’t be like this, just let the rotting corpse hang out in your town for just a little bit before moving on to the next stop. What’s the harm? What could go wrong?

Alas, I get to the point of moving my zombie hordes around, but they aren’t able to take root and I run out of points to keep them on the move. It’s a frustrating bit of business I assure you. And I’m not above admitting I’ve even read a couple of the guides out there and still haven’t been able to complete this level. I’m beginning to lose confidence in my mad scientist skills. Am I forever doomed to mid-level management in the League of Evil?

What am I doing wrong here? What is the pivotal piece I’m missing that will let my infection and then zombie horde cross over borders without having to show their papers, especially into Norway?
