Haunted Church Limited Time Building (LTB) – Building Payout and Upgrade Cost – Crime City

The latest Limited Time Building (LTB) is out and with a holiday flair no less. Back in 2012, we got the Haunted Mansion as an LTB, a pretty cool building that cost gold to buy, but didn’t cost anything to upgrade – it just took a long time for each level. It collected every hour which is great for Case Events since you always have cash on hand. In 2013, we had the Bloody Barbershop, a grim building that collected every 13 hours. Not that great for income, but a decent building to get the ball rolling. In 2014, we have the Haunted Church. Instead of going with the number 13 again, Gree decided to have 14 hour collection time which has already caused gnashing of teeth in the forums. Seems the want is for 24hr and even 48hr collection times. My hood is a hodgepodge so who cares what the collection time is anymore.

Anyway, the initial cost of entry is $80 million. Without any modifiers, the upgrade costs are pretty steep with a jump to level 10 costing $8 Billion. At that level you will earn over $44 million per collection. That’s actually not too bad. However, if you have a couple modifiers going your way the upgrade cost becomes a little more reasonable. It’ll still cost you just shy of $4 Billion to make the final leap though. I have modifiers for both payout and upgrade so I can get a payout of $74.5 million.

The base total cost of this rascal is going to be $20 Billion or $10 Billion if things are really going your way.
The base payout will be $44 million or $75 million if you can get the cost down.

The prize for each level is:

Skull Grenade
26,650A / 23,632D
+1% Expl. Attack

I’ve already got the first building underway and will once again try to upgrade two at one time. Going have to be careful though, the last building took a huge chunk of my reserves. I was hoping for a cheaper LTB this time around since I’m not sure I can handle two of these. Oh well, people wanted bigger LTBs so here ya go!

Good Luck!

I didn’t get this building all the way upgraded in the time allotted, but I did attempt to upgrade 2 at a time. Wow, did that suck all the cash out of me. One building has a few more hours left on it’s Level 10 upgrade while the other has completed Level 9. I had $15 Billion in the bank when this even started and I’m all the way down to $4B. I’m nearly broke! I really hope this next building is a cheap one!

With an output of $77M on one and $56M on the other, I should be able to get my cash flow going again. I like this double building upgrade, but like I said, it can take a lot out of you.

Did anyone actually get this finished during the event? I think I was like 35-40+ hours short of making it, so clearly you had to use gold to get this one done.

i have a doubt Pedro, how can i make more money ??? am level 123 and my iph is just 4 mil

  • Don Pedro says:

It takes a long time to get money these days as all the regular buildings you can buy are pretty crappy. I got lucky with the Haunted Mansion back in the day which was a 1hr collection time with free upgrades. It took forever to upgrade, but you could easily make $40k an hour per building. The new LTBs can’t get you up and running like that.

However, at Lvl 123 you’re in a good position to get some decent buildings. They don’t make much initially, but upgrade them a couple of times and you’ll have decent cash coming in. It’ll take awhile to build up the IPH, but you should have some good cash on hand to get some upgrades going.

I would start with these buildings and give them a few upgrades. You should be able to collect on these without losing any cash. Plus, you should be able to sneak under the radar because most people are looking for high end LTBs to rob. They won’t trouble themselves with your flower shop when there is a Haunted Church to rob.

Beachside Inn, Brownstone, Flower Shop and Upscale Club, Russian Restaurant, French Restaurant

Lots of people swear by the Nightclub, but that thing is way too damn expensive and the upgrade times are hideous. If you have that kind of cash, get an LTB. Or save for the next one.

It’ll time to get the cash flow moving, but once you start making decent money, it’s easy to keep making decent money. The gold buildings we have now aren’t worth buying. I’d stay away from those and keep the gold for something else.
