Governor of Poker 2: Premium Edition on Sale for $5 (or maybe $2)

If you’re looking for some cheesy, western themed, poker playing fun, then Governor of Poker might be right up your alley. I like casual games and as you can tell I’m a fan of poker; I’m just not a hardcore poker player. I just like to play a few hands to see how things play out so to me something like Governor of Poker is the right way to go. It has a casual style and some amusing antics and gestures to keep things interesting. And what’s more, it’s not an Online only game. In fact, there is no Online. You actually have to play against the computer. That to me is a big bonus, since I just want to play, I don’t want to go out looking for players and dealing with their "personalities". I prefer to start and play a game when I’m ready.

But anyway, back to the game. Besides the poker factor there is a side venture of buying up all the properties in town and earning income from your buildings. Each building earns a daily income so you can work to have a positive cash flow. It’s sort of blend of Poker and Monopoly. Nice way to keep things interesting.

Governor of Poker is now on sale at Steam for $4.99 for the Premium Edition, which includes:
6 extra cities
10 extra poker locations
5 more Notorious opponents to defeat
5 extra player colours to choose from
Extra ‘Pro’ difficulty mode
Quick poker game against all 9 Notorious players
Unique interactive wallpaper (Windows)
Downloadable theme music

Funny thing is, if you go to BundleStars.com you buy the same Premium Edition for $2. From what I can tell you’re buying the Steam key either way so might as well save a couple of bucks.

Either way you should get some solid entertainment and plenty of poker time with this game.
