Let’s Get Dirty in SpinTires!

SpinTires is a new game in development by Oovee. They recently had a Kickstarter campaign and have been given the Greenlight on Steam. I just downloaded their Tech Demo and took the 8×8 beast of a truck out for a spin. Jump on board as I scale some hills, play in the mud, ford the river (and nearly drown), knock over some trees and attempt to drive over a Jeep. It’s heavy metal military surplus vehicles versus nature as I see what this truck can do while I explore this new environment. It should come as no surprise that I ultimately end up face down in the dirt with my tires flailing in the air.

I will say this is a pretty sweet looking game the environment is fun to drive around in. Hopefully, we’ll be able to buy the "full" version off Steam and get the ability to drive more vehicle and do more tasks. For right now with the Tech Demo you get to drive around and check out the environment. It’s well worth trying out and I’m excited to see this game develop. I’m definitely on board to buy this game for the Early Access. But check out some of my sweet driving moves in the video below. I’m tellin ya, this 8×8 truck is a wicked beast! I want one!

Even though SpinTires doesn’t have definable goals or achievements yet, there is a ton of potential and I’m really looking forward to watching this game develop and buying a copy when it comes out or becomes available as part of Early Access. The graphics look quite good for this early stage and the environment has interesting items. The truck has a lot of detail, the suspension looks realistic and the tires bulge and flex as you trample over the terrain. You can run over trees, mud flies when you get stuck and the water ripples when you plunge headlong into it. Obviously all of this will improve as the came develops, but things look impressive as they are now. This game is really coming along and I’m curious to know what features lie in the "Dev Version"

If you haven’t tried SpinTires, it’s well worth taking a look.
