Say Hello to Pepino Grande!!
6 Cores. 8GB. 3.2Ghz. 2TB.
Fedex just delivered my new machine – an AMD Phenom II X6 Dell Studio XPS – Set Your Hair on Fire Edition, in black.
And, damn is it sexy! It may not be the absolute fastest machine going, but egad, it has more get up and go than I do! It also comes with a few surprises. One, it has a media care reader which is a nice touch. It also comes with a wireless network card, which means I can put this thing just about anywhere.
For right now though it will be my Virtualbox machine hosting Windows Server 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010. It will also host Windows Server 2003 with Exchange 2003. Yes, this is an educational tool. Make no mistake, I plan to play some games on this bad boy, otherwise that 1GB ATI video card would go to waste. But, it’s main function is to help me understand Exchange and keep my job.
Hell yeah!
And now, the obligatory unboxing pictures.
