Let’s Golf 3 – not what I was hoping for

I jumped at the chance to get Let’s Golf 3 since I’ve played and enjoyed the previous two titles. But, I should have been wary since it’s a freemium title. To me, freemium is another word for ripoff and Let’s Golf seems to live up to that.

The graphics looks great and there is plenty of new content to play. But, the game mechanics suffer and this new "energy" feature is just plain stupid. On my iPad the game crashes repeatedly, the display gets "jerky" quite often and having to pay to play, or alternatively sit idle, is just moronic.

The new currency is "energy", and after you play, you need to let your character "recharge" by letting him or her sit idle for an hour or pay to recharge. Come on, that’s just annoying. Do you really think someone who’s either enjoying the game or struggling is going to sit for an hour and then come back for more? Way to alienate people and bring the fun to a screeching halt.

I was very excited about Let’s Golf 3, but after only one day, I’ve already removed it and will continue playing the other two games in the series. Let’s Golf 3 is just too damn frustrating and will rob you blind if you let it. Charge me a decent price for a decent game and everyone will be happy. Release crap like this and I’ll never download another one of your games.
