Lava can be a harsh mistress
Mistakes were made. Pants were incinerated.
My efforts to rebuild my castle after it was annihilated by data corruption were going swimmingly until I was a victim of Creeper Madness. Whilst working on a light using lava and glass, and minding my own business, I was taken from behind by a Creeper. I saw no shadow, I heard no sound. All I saw was dirt and miner flying. After picking myself up and dusting off I realized I wasn’t alone in the newly formed crater. Before I could run there was a second explosion, just like in Backdraft, and that was the end of me. Those evil bastards were working in pairs to blow me to smithereens!
After respawning a few feet away I begrudgingly walked back to collect my stuff. Much to my horror I found that the explosions had set a lava flow in motion which had destroyed all my goods including my beloved diamond pickaxe and diamond sword. All my worldly possessions had been incinerated. Considering I’d been trying to build a castle of epic proportions I had a ton of building materials on me including a massive stash of glass. All of it was lost to the heavens. Not to mention there was lava everywhere.
In a feeble attempt to gather up whatever materials were left and plug this leak I managed to set myself ablaze multiple times. It was a disappointing excursion on many levels.
But I will recraft that pickaxe! I will make a new sword! I will gather more cobblestone! I will smelt more glass. And as God is my witness, I’ll never be hungry again!!
